Highlights, all-over color or a root touch-up?
Three common color services, what each one does and how to choose.
By Stephenie Powers
Highlights add brightness
Highlights lighten pieces of your hair with foils. Partial highlights ($195) brighten selected areas. Full highlights ($295) add brightness throughout. High Impact Highlight ($390) is maximum blonding, including the ends.
All-over color keeps or deepens your shade
All Over Color ($150) is one shade from roots to ends, at the same depth or darker. It covers and evens out color but doesn’t make hair lighter.
A root touch-up maintains what you have
A root touch-up colors new growth to match the rest. Choose Touch-up and Blow-Dry ($95) or Touch-up and Haircut ($140).
When none of them fits
If you want to lift old dark dye or fix a color that went wrong, start with the Color Correction Consultation ($0).
